How a holiday can raise your aspirations

Case study

Joan had her first child when she was 18 and spent most of her life thereafter have children. By the time Joan was 32, Joan had given birth to 6 children who by herself she took care of them.

Joan had been on some small holidays in the past with her children as they were growing up mainly ones that advertised in the newspaper saved for families from disadvantaged backgrounds. This scheme the paper ran gave families like Joans the opportunity to go a holiday once a year at discounted prices to places such as Haven or Butlins across the country. It was a start for Joan as she would never be able to afford to go aboard with all six children. Joan had had a few jobs working at varies places part-time, in the past nothing that really stuck, not much would or could when you have 6 children to take care of who do all doing different things.

On Joans 40th birthday she decided to book a holiday for herself and youngest son aboard to Benidorm. Joan and her youngest son had an eye-opening time in a different country seeing and experiencing different things. Let's just take that in for a moment Joan had not been away on a plane until she was 40th that experience changed her life so much on her return she vowed to take a holiday each year after. What followed after that experience in another country was the want and need to explore more. With that, came the understanding of the importance and need of a secured job, which Joan obtained this allowed her to plan her next holiday the following year.

Since that very first holiday, Joan has since been on many holidays, bought her own home and now travels twice yearly one-holiday being on cruise ships, Joan also went on to buy her own home some years later.

The power of a change of scenery!
